Arnold Park Pavilion Reservations

All pavilion reservations are made online through the Recreation Department.

How to Reserve a Pavilion

  1. Log in or create an account.
  2. Select Reserve or Facilities.
  3. To view availability, select Facilities, then Calendar, and choose your desired date.
  4. Select your pavilion and reservation date.
  5. Enter the purpose of your event (e.g., family reunion) and your estimated attendance.
  6. Submit your reservation request.
Your request will be reviewed by the Recreation Department. Once approved, you will have 14 days to submit payment. If payment is not received within 14 days, your reservation will be released back to the public.

Payment & Cancellation Policy

Payment may be made online through your vestalrecreation.com account or in person at the Recreation Office.
Your reservation will remain on hold for 14 days pending payment. If you decide not to use your reservation, please notify the Recreation Department as soon as possible. Otherwise, you are responsible for the full reservation fee.
Refunds may be requested up to two weeks prior to your reservation date. To request a refund, call 607-754-3368.

Alcohol Permits (Optional)

Alcohol is permitted with an approved permit.
To obtain an alcohol permit:
  • Review the permit information under Policies & Information.
  • Submit the permit request under Additional Information when making your reservation.
  • Obtain your own liability insurance that meets Town requirements.
  • Submit your insurance certificate for review by the Town Attorney.
  • Once your insurance is approved, you will be billed the $50 alcohol permit fee payable to the Town of Vestal.
Please allow at least two weeks for insurance review and approval.

Food Trucks

Food trucks are permitted at pavilion events. The food truck vendor must obtain a one-day peddler’s permit through the Town Clerk’s Office. The permit fee is $50, payable to the Town of Vestal.

We recommend that the food truck vendor contact the Town Clerk’s Office in advance to complete the permit process before your event date. They will need to provide an insurance policy and a copy of their Broome County Health Department permit.


Pavilion Hours & Rental Fees

Hours: 8:00 a.m. until one-half hour after sunset
Pavilions are rented by the day.

An alcohol permit is available for an additional $50 per shelter, per day, plus insurance requirements.

Arnold Park Pavilions

Arnold Park, located on Andrews Road in Vestal, features four covered picnic pavilions. All pavilions include picnic tables, charcoal grills, and electrical service. Pavilion #4 offers limited electrical service, and its drinking fountain is located a short walk away.

Pavilion #1

Accommodates approximately 100 people and is the first shelter on the right as you enter the park. Conveniently located across from the playground, it features a variety of table sizes (14', 12', and 6'), multiple electrical outlets, a drinking fountain, two charcoal grills, and is handicap accessible.

Pavilion #2

Accommodates approximately 75 people and is the second shelter on the right as you enter the park. Amenities include a variety of table sizes (14', 12', and 6'), multiple electrical outlets, a drinking fountain, two charcoal grills, and is handicap accessible.

Pavilion #3

Accommodates approximately 100 people and is the first shelter on the left as you enter the park, adjacent to the volleyball court. Amenities include a variety of table sizes (14', 12', and 6'), multiple electrical outlets, a drinking fountain, two charcoal grills, and is handicap accessible.

Pavilion #4

Accommodates approximately 50 adults and is located at the top of the hill in a secluded, wooded setting with scenic views of the valley. The pavilion also serves as a trailhead for the park's hiking trails. Amenities include eight 10-foot tables, two high-top tables, a bench swing, two charcoal grills, limited electrical service (two 20-amp outlets), and a drinking fountain located a short walk away.

Pavilion Reservation Policies

  • Tents and inflatable rides are not permitted.
  • Decorating or attaching items to the pavilion structure is prohibited.
  • Please remove all table coverings, decorations, and fasteners before leaving the pavilion.
  • Pavilion reservations are non-refundable, including cancellations due to inclement weather.
  • Pavilion reservations are not double-booked. Your reserved pavilion is yours for the entire day.
  • If you experience an emergency after 4:00 p.m. on weekdays or at any time on weekends, contact the Vestal Police Department's non-emergency line at 607-754-2111. Please do not call for maintenance-related issues.
